Q What are the times for the sessions?
A Sessions are 5.30-7.30 every Wednesday. We are open every week except Christmas and New year.
Q What will it cost to join?
A There is no charge to join the group. You are welcome to make a donation to Space2Create, however.
Q What will I need to bring to a session?
A The group will provide everything needed for the group activity, and the food will be provided as part of the activity.
Q What if I don’t like the meal?
A All meals will be all announced in advance on social media.
Any food allergies or intolerance should be disclosed at the induction stage, and anyone requiring alternative meals are encouraged to bring something in. We will occasionally offer a vegetarian option alongside a meat dish, for instance, if we have the resources. This will be announced on our social media channels.
Q Is there any paperwork?
A If you like the group, you will be given an induction form to fill in for our records. This is a highly confidential document and acts as a contract between yourself and the group.
Q Do I need to be good at art?
A Not at all, we are interested in providing a positive environment for people to engage in the act of making and creating. We will not be judging, comparing or selling your work. You might want to exhibit your work in a show, however, in which case S2C will charge a small fee if it sells.
Q Can I choose the activities and meals?
A Group members can influence the activities and menus, we will attempt to serve the interests of the group where possible, we could do model making, or printmaking for example. We are limited to our resources, but extra resources could be arranged by group donation.
Q How do I know what is happening in the group?
A We will keep track of where we are in the groups activities, and notify via social media channels, we will try to keep the group following the same activities and we will have a feedback form at the end of each session where you can log where you’re at, and we can comment on where we’re headed. We may change these activities, depending on the group’s wishes and available resources, but we will always post any changes on social media or the S2C website.
